Field Trip Scholarship Program
Bringing Butler County History to the Classroom
The Kansas Oil Museum Field Trip Scholarship helps classrooms experience local history firsthand. Through the generosity of Butler County businesses and community members, teachers can bring their students to the museum for a hands-on educational experience at no cost to the classroom.
This program connects students with the history of the Kansas oil industry, early Kansas communities, and the stories that shaped Butler County.
Why Field Trips Matter
A visit to the museum allows students to:
• Experience history beyond the classroom
• Explore real artifacts and historic buildings
• Learn about Kansas oil and energy history
• Participate in interactive educational programs
Field trips help students build a deeper understanding of local history while creating memorable learning experiences.
